TRANSMISSION is an exhibition that examines a distiction between the real and virtual. In this exhibition, the Danish artist group, AVPD explores this concept by experimenting issues of SUBJECT/SPACE, OBJECT/SIGHT and LIGHT/TIME in the process of perceiving an architectural structure.
Now the audience is invited to experience, re-orient themselves to this newly reconstructed SSamzie Space. However, the audience would find it difficult to fully understand the building structure because of
AVPD's devises in the installations that distract audience from fully understanding matters of SUBJECT/SPACE, OBJECT/SIGHT and LIGHT/TIME embeded in the structure.

Main LIGHT/ TIME In the work GMT + 1hr a light sensor is measuring the light in Denmark. In realtime these measurements are continuously send to the Main Gallery in SSamzie Space and restored in the light modules. This means that the light in the gallery space is equal to the light in Denmark at any given moment. For more information on the artists' work, please visit www.avpd.net Project OBJECT/ SIGHT Displacement confronts the subject with a physical obstruction of what is visually perceived. Double Sight examines the position of the subject in time and space by a shift in the visual connection between an indoor and an outdoor room. This shift is recorded and projected with a time delay in the opposite end of the room. Garage SUBJECT/ SPACE The two works Gate and Staircase have titles that refer to concrete building elements. The works are in particular concerned with the perceptual relations between the subject and the surrounding room and the anticipations on this encounter. These distinctions are expressed in spatial displacements and doublings.
